AFI Film Fest Hits Town Nov. 1 -- Road Rage in Santa Monica Hits Record High

While the AFI Film Fest will showcase its great (and not-so-great) movies in Hollywood on Nov. 1, it’s deal-making arm — AFM will bring about 9,000 people to Santa Monica to close an estimated $800 million in production deals. That’s 9,000 people who don’t know that Wilshire is always clogged and that the 10 ends at the ocean. Nine thousand people who will storm into your Starbucks and quite possibly buy up that bauble you had your eye on at Fred Segal.
