ABC, always roaming the globe in search of shows to remake, has greenlit an American version of the BBC racy primetime soap, Footballer’s Wives. If ABC had any wit, they’d set it in the NBA, rather than the NFL, and if they had any brains they’d get someone other than Bryan Singer to direct.
Lifetime, in a retro move, is presenting a good old-fashioned MOW, The Staircase Murders, based on Aphrodite Jones’ book The Perfect Husband.
