A Walk down Cinerama Lane

Some of us are too young to remember anything about Cinerema, a widescreen technology that projected three cameras simultaneously onto a curved screen. For those who didn’t get the pleasure of this unique movie-going experience when it was introduced back in the 1950s, Cinema Treasures is doing a travelogue online, visiting old sites, snapping pictures along the way. Back in the heyday, seeing a Cinerama flick was a dress-up event: the men suited up in tuxedos, the ladies in gowns, gloves, stockings, and high heels.
