A Traffic Nightmare That's Not in LA


Yes, we know. If you live on the east side, there are days when you can get to Vegas faster than getting to Santa Monica. Yes, it’s horrible. Yes, it’s constant. But wait just a minute (or two depending on traffic) there is a place in the world (second largest economy) that has had a commute “snarl” for over a week.

Xinhuanet reports:

Since August 14, thousands of Beijing-bound trucks have jammed the expressway again, and traffic has stretched for more than 100 kilometers between Beijing and Huai’an in Heibei Province, and Jining in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China National Radio (CNR) reported Sunday.
