And one more, so we don’t ruin a good day’s streak: here’s an interesting article on Whitespace: “7 Steps to a Good Company Name.” In it, 9rules’ founder, Paul Scrivens, talks about naming the site in 2003, before a bigger glut of number-first named companies took over the internet. He then goes on to work in a list from Marty Neumeier’s book The Brand Gap; the seven essential things for successfully naming a company. They seem a little obvious, of course, because there’s no sure fire solution to anything.
