Finally! Conclusive evidence that the New York Times is actually in the tank for Obama. Via Politico comes word that the word OBAMA has appeared “regularly” in the NYT crossword puzzle since 2005. McCain? NOT ONCE! Says the Times Diane McNulty:

The answer is obvious for anyone who does crosswords. It is because ‘Obama’ is a five-letter name that alternates vowels and consonants…So it is much more crossword-friendly than ‘McCain,’ which is a harder word to put in a crossword.
