2011 Edward R. Murrow Award Winners Announced
The Radio Television Digital News Association just announced the winners of its annual National Edward R. Murrow Award. In an interesting bit of phraseology, the award, formerly given to the best in television and radio journalism, is now, for the second year in a row, given to the best in “electronic” journalism. Which basically means they added an online news category.
After sweeping the new category last year, the Associated Press took home 8 out of the 12 awards given out in the national online news division this time around.
