FishbowlNY joins the many others in the NYC media community who have already expressed their best wishes to 1010WINS news anchor Brian Carey for a speedy recovery.

Carey was found Monday night in the lobby of his East 61st Street building by a neighbor, semi-conscious and sporting a broken jaw and other injuries after an apparent robbery. He is in hospital in serious condition. The New York Post reports that he knew the attacker and has already ID-ed the suspect.

The 52-year-old Carey anchors weekday afternoon-drive newscasts on 1010WINS from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and is also heard nationally via ABC Radio Networks. Cards and letters should be dropped off or sent c/o New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, 525 East 68th Street, New York, NY 10065.
