Will Dobson will join NPR as the senior supervising editor of the international desk, announced NPR News executive editor Edith Chapin in a note to staff.
“Will brings heft to our thinking about international coverage, serious digital chops, and a proven track record of thoughtful, serious journalism,” writes Chapin, adding, “Will is a journalist and a leader who sees NPR’s international reporting as ‘one of NPR’s crown jewels.'”
Dobson, who is currently Slate’s Washington bureau chief, starts on the leap day of Feb.
