Who Is Right? Miami Herald or Politico?

Political reporting is nothing if not redundant…and, occasionally, totally contradictory.

Eight years after the furor over the repatriation of Elian Gonzalez to Cuba possibly cost Al Gore the state of Florida in his 537-vote loss to George W. Bush, the international custody saga has returned to haunt another Democratic presidential nominee: Barack Obama.

And today’s Miami Herald piece:

In a sign that Democrat Barack Obama will be competitive in the nation’s largest swing state, he is beating Republican John McCain comfortably in South Florida and has a slight edge among Hispanics, according to a new Miami Herald poll.
