President Barack Obama will present the nation’s highest civilian honor to 19 journalists, artists, public servants and activists this afternoon.
Recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom will include legendary NBC anchor, Tom Brokaw, Ethel Kennedy, widow of the late Sen. Robert Kennedy, singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder, actress Meryl Streep and composer Stephen Sondheim.
