WaPo Reporter Cracks on Faulty Content Management System in Goodbye Note

WaPo‘s James Grimaldi, who took the buyout and is headed to WSJ to be a senior investigative reporter , bid farewell to the publication where he has worked for the past 12 years. He “loved every minute of it,” he says warmly, except for Methode, the content management system used by WaPo for publishing, blogging and mobile. His subject line: “Methode is frozen.WaPo Asst. Systems Editor Alex Waddell replied to the entire newsroom, saying, “We’re aware of the problem and we’re working on it.”

“I wish I could say I will never have to read one of these messages again, but, alas, they use Methode at The Wall Street Journal too.
