Reporting whiz Steve Sternberg is leaving USA Today for a gig at U.S. News & World Report. Sternberg, who has been with the paper since 1997, has reported on some of the most powerful health and medicine stories of our time: from the Human Genome Project and global health to the aftermath of last year’s earthquake in Haiti, which he covered aboard a U.S. Navy hospital ship. He also pioneered the reporting of hospital and nursing home quality data at the newspaper and led a team that created user-friendly interactive web graphics that enable consumers to compare U.S.
