Attention media looking for an offbeat Thanksgiving story. Before turkeys head to the White House to meet POTUS, they will live in the lap of luxury at the city’s famed W Hotel. They will allegedly enjoy the view from P.O.V, the hotel’s rooftop bar and lounge that overlooks the White House. Turkeys will enjoy “W Munchie Boxes” filled with acorns, berries, corn and “other bon vivant treats” that turkeys apparently love, says a release.

WHO: W Washington D.C. hotel and Yubert Envia, Chairman of the National Turkey Federation, and the about-to-be-pardoned presidential turkeys.  Please note: this is for media only and is not a public event.

WHAT: Ed Baten, W’s GM, and Envia will host this week’s turkey fest on the W P.O.V rooftop.  The event is meant to honor the annual Thanksgiving ritual in which a thankful 21-week old, 45-pound turkey and his alternate will receive a “presidential pardon” from President Obama.

WHEN: Tuesday, November 23 at 3pm.

WHERE: W Washington D.C. hotel, 515 15th Street NW, Washington D.C. (corner of 15th and F Streets).

HOW: Media must RSVP to Barbara Martin, barbara@brandlinkdc.com.
