The press played a major role in the emergence of the civil rights movement, but it took time, guts and talent to develop. Gene Roberts, a Pulitzer Prize-winning editor, and Hank Klibanoff, managing editor of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, discuss press coverage of the civil rights movement at a National Press Club Book Rap, in cooperation with the Newseum, on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served before the program.
