TNR Reporter-Researcher Lands Managing Editor Gig

Tiffany Stanley, most recently a reporter-researcher at TNR, has been named managing editor of a upcoming online journal from the Danforth Center on Religion & Politics at Washington University in St. Louis.

Stanley will continue to be based in Washington, D.C. The journal connects scholarly research to current affairs. Marie Griffith, the center’s new director and John Danforth, an Arts & Sciences prof, announced Stanley’s appointment, which began on July 1.

An excerpt from an article on the University website offers a description of what Stanley’s work will entail: “The news journal — which will focus on the role of religion in public life, the political arena and the academy — will include articles and editorial pieces solicited from journalists, academics and public figures.”

Stanley earned a master in divinity, considered the first degree of the pastoral profession, from Harvard in May 2010.
