Thomas Frank to Salon

DC-based Harper‘s columnist Thomas Frank has been picked up by Salon. The announcement was made today by Salon editor-in-chief David Daley. This continues a trend recently of well-known journalists and authors moving to the digital realm to share their craft. In fact, greater visibility via social enabled and easily shareable content is an aspect that influenced Thomas’ decision to make the move.

From the announcement:

Tom — whose brilliant Harper’s column has opened that magazine for several years, and whose books include “Pity the Billionaire” and “What’s The Matter With Kansas?” — will become our new Sunday morning essayist, with a new piece every week.
