On Thursday, September 16th, THE WEEK is hosting an event titled “The Challenge of Education and the Global Workforce” at The W Hotel in Washington, D.C.
The event begins at 8 a.m. and will include breakfast and a panel discussion moderated by Sir Harold Evans, THE WEEK’s Editor-at-Large. Panelists include Steven Brill, Founder of Journalism Online; James Shelton III, Assistant Deputy Secretary for Innovation and Improvement, U.S. Department of Education; Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers; and Tony Wagner, Co-director of the Change Leadership Group at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
