The List of TNR Resignations Grows Amid Shake Up
It’s been a really, really bad week for The New Republic.
Following the resignation of Franklin Foer and Leon Wieseltier on Thursday, a slew of senior and contributing editors took to Twitter to announce that they would be following suit.
The shakeup comes a month after new leadership took over the progressive magazine.
The new CEO, Guy Vidra, former general manager for Yahoo News, and publisher/editor-in-chief, Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook, reportedly wanted to take TNR in a new direction that didn’t align with the editors’ vision for the publication.
