The Hill has hired Julian Pecquet and Alex Muller. Pecquet will cover health care and Muller is at the copy desk with Mike Laws who was recently promoted to chief copy editor.
Memo from The Hill‘s Hugo Gurdon announcing the changes:
I wanted to let you know about a few staff changes.
Mike Laws has been promoted to the position of chief copy editor. He is thorough, skilled, and dedicated to his craft, and has a real sense of responsibility for the overall quality of our newspaper.
He is joined at the copy desk by Alex Muller, whom some of you have already met, and who is sitting when Sean Barry used to sit.
We will also be joined on Wednesday by Julian Pecquet, our new healthcare reporter. Julian covered the same beat for Inside Washington Publishers and over the past 15 months has broken several big stories in that endlessly important news area.
Please welcome the two newcomers, and join me in congratulating Mike on his promotion.
