The Hatchet's April Fools' Issue: Funny or Scary?

A Friends Report Student Missing headline isn’t exactly laugh riot stuff these days, but GW’s student newspaper, The Hatchet, went all out for April Fools’ Day issue.

The story reports that Ghoin Toveeay has been missing for 48 hours. The last line thankfully reports, “Toveeay has arrived at her Thursday morning 8 a.m. class. Chill the f–k out.”

Ok, what is sorta funny is the writer they say wrote the piece. The byline reads: Carolyn Crappel, Not at all a newswriter.

Another headline:

Tech Glitch Admits 500 Dumbasses

All stories come with a special note in bold at the top that reads: Reader’s note: This story is satirical in nature and published in a spoof issue.
