The Boston Globe Is Bringing the Real and Fictional Spotlight Teams to the WHCD

In the genre of White House Correspondents Dinner criticism, the reliance on celebrity guests to give the night an air of Hollywood magic makes for an ever-reliable argumentative point. That’s why it’s nice to see that the Boston Globe is bringing journalists to the dinner table. Of course, they are part of the investigative team that inspired Oscar-winning movie Spotlight, and members of the movie cast/crew are also invited, but at least the movie is one that spotlights (we couldn’t resist) journalism, and we’ll take our tiny victories where we can get them.
