All the major Sunday shows were down in the ratings last week compared to the week before -but CBS managed to stay on top of the pile. “Face the Nation” was, for the fourth week in a row, the most watched public affairs program with 2.91 million viewers, followed by “Meet the Press” with 2.77 million viewers, and “This Week” with 2.75 million.
In the key 25-54 age demographic, ABC was the winner, surpassing both NBC and CBS with 832,000 viewers. NBC, by contrast had its poorest showing of the year in the demo, drawing only 730,000 viewers. NBC has been in a rut ever since the Olympics ended, which had been boosting their Sunday show ratings. They haven’t come in first place -either over all or in the demo -since February 23rd.

“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.

Compared to the same week last year, only “This Week” grew in both ratings measurements, up +10% in total viewers and +15 in the demo. “Fox News Sunday” and NBC’s “Meet the Press” were up slightly in total viewers and down in the demo, while “Face the Nation” and Univision’s “Al Punto” were down across the board.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,012,000 total viewers and 457,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 933,000 and 384,000 viewers, respectively.
