Additions at NBC DC as Bureau Gears up for 2016

Producer Doug Adams and four others join the 2016 politics team.

NBC’s DC bureau announced five new additions to its politics and news teams this morning in anticipation of the 2016 elections.

Doug Adams is the new senior political editor, responsible for managing reporting and cross-platform coverage during the long march to 2016. Adams has been at the network since 1997, most recently as a producer for the DC bureau. Adams will also be in charge of the campaign embed program, a role bureau chief Ken Strickland and deputy bureau chief Meaghan Rady described in the memo as “a perfect fit for someone who has had firsthand experience driving snowy Iowa highways and chasing campaign buses in New Hampshire.”
