Roll Call Hosts Early Voting Kick Off Party for 'Taste of America'
Last night, Roll Call filled Capitol Lounge with readers for its Early Voting Kick Off Party as part of its annual “Taste of America” contest.
Several of Senator Manchin’s (D-WV) staffers were in attendance and loudly (but not obnoxiously) supporting last year’s winner, the West Virginia pepperoni roll. Ballpark food was served in anticipation of the Congressional Baseball Game, where the winner will be revealed. Beer on tap was provided by the event sponsor, the Beer Institute.
Trivia was surprisingly hard, with a mix of questions about the tournament-style food competition, Congress, state foods, and beer.
