RNC Suspends Partnership With NBC for February GOP Debate

The debate itself is still on.

So unhappy is the Republican Party with how CNBC handled Wednesday’s GOP primary debate that the Republican National Committee is suspending plans to partner with NBC for a scheduled Feb. 26 debate.

In a letter addressed to NBC News chair Andrew Lack and posted online, RNC chair Reince Priebus explained he was suspending the RNC’s partnership with NBC News because of the “petty and mean-spirited in tone” of Wednesday’s debate, claiming that the debate was “designed to embarrass our candidates.”
