NBC's Deborah Turness Reportedly Considered Jon Stewart as 'Meet The Press' Moderator
Before deciding on Chuck Todd to replace David Gregory as moderator of “Meet the Press,” NBC News president Deborah Turness apparently considered Jon Stewart.
New York Magazine’s Gabriel Sherman cited three unnamed senior television sources, with one saying that NBC was “ready to back the Brink’s truck up,” in the network’s effort to do “anything” to get the host of Comedy Central’s “Daily Show” to agree.
Sherman writes:
“It makes sense that NBC would make a run at Stewart.
