Posties Win Society of News Design Awards

From the Post’s internal announcement:

The Washington Post has received 15 awards for its 2006 design and graphics work by the Society of News Design in its annual competition. This contest attracted more than 13,800 entries worldwide and is considered the preeminent measure of design quality for newspapers. The Post’s News Desk, News Art, Sports and the magazine were honored.

In addition to 14 awards of excellence, there was one silver award for a full page map-based graphic that documented all robberies committed in the District from January through September, 2006.
