PolitiFact Wins 2008 Online Journalism Award

The National Press Foundation has awarded its 2008 Online Journalism Award to PolitiFact, a project of the St. Petersburg Times and Congressional Quarterly that rates the accuracy of statements made by candidates and advocates in American political life. NPF’s judges found the site (www.politifact.com) comprehensive and easy to maneuver, with exciting graphics. The judges were especially impressed with a section of the site that assessed the accuracy of chain e-mails sent during the presidential campaign.
