Politico Gets First Communications VP in Brad Dayspring

"This is not a conventional hire."

PoliticoBrad Dayspring has joined Politico as vice president of communications, a new position for the publication. Dayspring’s most recent role was senior adviser to Scott Walker‘s PAC He also served as communications director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee and deputy chief of staff and press secretary for Eric Cantor when the congressman was House Majority Leader.

Of his reasons for taking the Politico job, Dayspring told The New York Times’ Nick Corasaniti: “‘I was looking for a new challenge,’ he said, after 15 years on ‘the other side of the table.'”
