Outrage Over ADC's Celebration of Helen Thomas

Earlier this week we told you that Helen Thomas, the longtime White House correspondent who abruptly retired amidst controversy from comments she made about Israel, Jews and Palestine, was set to be honored by  the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC).  In announcing the award on November 2nd, a spokesperson for the ADC said, “Helen Thomas is a professional journalist who reported accurately, regardless of consequences, asked the tough questions, and applied principles of fairness — not based on politics, race or religion, but on the merits of a story.”

Not surprisingly, the announcement didn’t sit well with everyone.
