"Oh My Goff" Gets Air Time

FishbookDC's "Biggest Heartthrob of 2009," Angie Goff of WUSA-9 is getting a shot to make her blog "Oh My Goff" a regular broadcast bit beginning next Tuesday. Goff sent an email to her community contributors aka "Angie's Army" today to announce the new segment. You can check out the email after the jump. Hey YOU! Thanks for enlisting in Angie's ARMY of community contributors! We're counting on you to help us cover DC on TV like no one has before. Too often newscast are filled with the bad news or the same old big events we see covered every year! Let's give the little guy a voice.. lets share cool things going on around town people ought to know about! Oh My GOFF is excited to announce we'll be making the leap from blog to broadcast starting Tuesday Oct 20th. OMG will be a 3-minute segment that covers both national and local entertainment weekdays on the W*USA TV Channel 9 Morning Show (CBS). It will also be uploaded every morning on wusa9.com where you can watch, share and post TV coverage you have a hand in. The local part of the segment is "audience engagement" driven.. meaning we want the following from you..when you want to share: Reports must be timely.. sent within a day or the next day if it's an evening event. Email and write "REPORT" in the subject line when you submit. Only emails with "REPORT" in the subject line will be considered for air time.We can't promise your report will make it but we'll try our best! The address is omg@wusa9.com Include basic event info: who, what, when, where, why.. and highlights. Keep it to one paragraph and as simple as possible. It's TV we don't have much time. Picture Submission:Attach at most 2 Pictures smaller than 2MB and in the JPG format only. Video Submission: Send video links only preferably from VIMEO or YOUTUBE. Do not attach actual video. We are accepting events to put on our coverage calendar for November now. Put "NOVEMBER" in the subject line and include: Brief explanation of event, contact info, website if possible.
