Obamas Talk 'Learning to Drive' as First Daughter Malia Obama Turns 16 on July 4th
America’s birthday is not the only celebration today in the nation’s capital – it’s also Malia Obama’s birthday. And for the eldest First Daughter, it’s not just any birthday, it’s her Sweet Sixteen.
The Washington Post’s Pamela Kirkland put together a video report for the occasion, which includes appearances by First Lady Michelle Obama on “The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon” and “Live! with Kelly and Michael.” To host Kelly Ripa, Michelle Obama said, “I think our agents don’t want us driving with teenagers…Especially the President’s detail, I don’t think they want him in the state when she’s learning how to drive.”
