NJ to Launch End-of-Life Care Investigation

NJ announced today the launch of a three-part series called “Living Well at the End of Life: A National Conversation” in partnership with The Regence Foundation.

The series of surveys and policy events will provide “unprecedented insight into the decision-making and priorities of Americans of all stripes as they face end-of-life issues for themselves or their loved ones.”

NJ Group Editorial Director Ron Brownstein says due to the passage of health care reform, a growing population of older people and tightening of the federal budget requires a closer examination of end-of-life decisions.

The first of the series’ surveys will be conducted next month beginning March 8, followed by roughly quarterly installments.
