Nat'l Press Club Screening & Panel: Stoning Executions and Social Discrimination in Iran
Iranian-born Oscar nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo and Cyrus Nowrasteh, the Iranian-American director of “The Stoning of Soraya M.,” will discuss Iran’s human rights record and social injustices against women in the Islamic Republic at the National Press Club this evening at 7P.M.
Aghdashloo and Nowrasteh will address the practice of stoning execution and the unfair treatment of women prior to screening their soon-to-be released film. “The Stoning of Soraya M.” is the true account of an Iranian wife and mother sentenced to execution by stoning after conviction on false charges of adultery.
