  • An NBC release announced, “According to Nielsen Media Research data, ‘NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams’ narrowed the gap with ‘ABC World News with Charles Gibson’ last week to a mere 26,000 viewers separating the two broadcasts. For the week of September 3-7, 2007, ‘Nightly News’ attracted 7.781 million total viewers, ABC averaged 7.807 million, and CBS ‘Evening News’ had 5.465 million viewers.”
