Miss America 2015 Finalists Visit White House, Tour Capitol

The 2015 Miss America competition finalists visited DC on Monday and Tuesday to promote the Miss America Organization’s scholarship program, participate in leadership training, and discuss STEM education. The Miss America program is the leading provider of college scholarships for women in America, and this year, the organization will award five STEM scholarships worth $5,000 each.

The contestants began their day at the White House, attended Running Start (a women’s leadership training), visited with STEM officials at the Department of Education, and ended their day with a tour of the Capitol. From
