There’s nothing that wakes up a conservative audience like a Democrat-on-the-toilet reference.
CNSNews.com published a story yesterday centered on a speech by Michelle Obama at a rally in Wisconsin on Friday. The headline (which was subsequently picked up by the Drudge Report): “Michelle: Vote Early Because Your Toilet May Be Overflowing on Election Day.”
Here’s the full context of Obama’s remarks, according to a White House transcript:
“Early voting is important because it gives you that convenience, truly — especially students with busy schedules, families with busy lives. You wake up on Election Day, you might have a cold, babysitter, kid’s sick, it’s raining, car broke down — I mean, I could go on — toilet overflowing. (Laughter.) There are so many ways to mess up a day when you don’t have a lot of time.”
Hehehe! She said toilet.
This may be becoming a trend. Last week World Net Daily aggregated a story from Reuters about Chelsea Clinton battling disease in Nigeria. That disease happened to be chronic diarrhea. WND’s headline: “Chelsea Clinton tries to beat diarrhea.” That, too, was picked up by the Drudge Report.
