Martin O'Malley: Republicans 'Appallingly Silent' on Trump's 'Hate Speech'

Jorge Ramos calls O'Malley's immigration plan "most inclusive and progressive so far," but wonders how the 2016 hopeful will avoid same obstacles as President Obama.

While appearing on Fusion’s America with Jorge Ramos Tuesday afternoon to discuss some of the biggest 2016 issues, Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley took the opportunity to take some shots at the GOP, Hillary Clinton and the Donald.

The former governor of Maryland told Ramos that “far too many” members of the Republican field are “appallingly silent in the face of this sort of hate speech” — referring to Trump’s disparaging remarks regarding Mexican immigrants.

“I think that all of us have an obligation to speak out against that sort of hate-spewing rhetoric and language when it enters our public arena,” said O’Malley, responding to a question from Facebook.
