Marist Will Not be a Pawn in GOP Debate Polling Madness

"You're doing it all wrong" is the gist.

While the specific national polls Fox News will chose to determine placement for the Aug. 6 GOP primary debate are still unknown, we definitely know of one poll which will not be a factor. The Marist Institute for Public Opinion, who conducts its voter survey with McClatchy, has purposefully taken itself out of the polling race because of the negative effect the obsessive poll-watching is having on the primary race.

Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute, told McClatchy’s Steven Thomma he took issue with how the polls were being treated, with the margins of statistical error all but ignored.
