Man Hunts Typos in America
For any copy editor in our midst, this one is for you.
NPR recently featured Jeff Deck, a man who launched a cross-country hunt for typos across America. His initial motivation? A sign that read: “No tresspassing.” The sign irked him so much that he convinced a friend, Benjamin Herson, to join him, and the pair took off cross country with sharpies.
Their story is called, “A Man, A Plan And A Sharpie: ‘The Great Typo Hunt.'”
