As the impending government shutdown lingered into the wee hours of the morning, bleary-eyed journalists on Twitter began to read things, er, [Sen. Maj. Leader Harry] Reid things, not as they were but as they couldn’t help but see them.

The conversation, which transpired at around 11 p.m. Monday night, is between freelance foreign correspondent Jonathan Krohn and HuffPost political reporter Sabrina Siddiqui.
