Kaplan Returns to ABC News as EP for "This Week"
CBS Evening News EP Rick Kaplan is returning to ABC News where he spent more than 20 years as a producer for “Good Morning America,” “Nightline,” “PrimeTime Live,” and “World News Tonight with Peter Jennings.” In his new role, Kaplan will take the reins of “This Week with Christiane Amanpour.”
Kaplan, who has served as president of both MSNBC and CNN in the past, will be filling the role left by former EP Ian Cameron who left the show last fall.
