When did you last cry and why? A couple of weeks ago, covering a citizenship ceremony in Miami; I teared up watching 1200 people from 73 countries…including Iran, Syria, China and many, many others, recite the oath of citizenship, their first pledge of allegiance; then waving little American flags as they sang “America the Beautiful” in many different accents.
