Overheard at the British Embassy book party last night for former Chief of Protocol and Amb. of Hungary Nancy Brinker’s book, Promise Me, a heartfelt rendering about her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died of breast cancer: “Would it be wrong to smoke at a cancer party?”
A small group of journos attended the event including Roll Call‘s HOH duo Elizabeth Brotherton and Ali McSherry, Politico‘s Karin Tanabe (with whom Transportation Sec. Ray LaHood said he had a “cute” interview), WTOP’s Bob Madigan and The Hill‘s gossip scribe and Washington Scene Blogger Christina Wilkie.
