In Memoriam: Mac McGarry

Mac McGarry, the longtime host of  Saturday morning quiz show ‘It’s Academic’ passed away in his Potomac, MD home yesterday.   McGarry, 87, spent more than 60 years in the Washington media scene as a TV and radio talent.  In addition to his role on ‘It’s Academic’ which launched in 1961, he covered diverse beats including the White House and  Korean War.  More from WaPo here.
