In Memoriam: Gene Starbecker

From the Washington Post:

Gene Starbecker, 80, an award-winning scriptwriter, producer and director who made more than 970 documentaries and 300 television programs, died of pancreatic cancer Jan. 1 at the Rockville Nursing Home.

Mr. Starbecker worked on a large number of government-backed films and commercial TV series, including “Men of Annapolis,” “The Silent Service,” “Sea Hunt,” “Highway Patrol” and “Mr. District Attorney.”
