Michael Scherer is the Washington corr. for Salon.com. Befor that he was the Washington corr. for Mother Jones, an asst. ed. at the Columbia Journalism Review, an ed. fellow at Mother Jones, and an education reporter for the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Scherer has been published in Rolling Stone, The Nation, Best Life, NYC’s City Limits, Capitol Eye and Hampshire Life. He received his masters degree from the Columbia Journalism School and his BA from the UC Santa Cruz.
