Hitchens May Win National Book Award
…and, as this AP article notes, “Should Christopher Hitchens win a National Book Award, you can be sure he won’t thank any higher powers.
“The author, columnist and commentator was nominated for ‘God Is Not Great,’ a polemic with a self-evident theme.”
Side note: Hitchens recently penned a piece for Vanity Fair that had him going to a California spa and taking yoga classes, etc. At the end of the piece, the magazine noted that Hitchens’ next self-help installment would have him going cold turkey on booze and cigarettes.
