Hillary Clinton Responds to Criticisms by Jill Abramson on Media Expectations
During an interview with guest host John Harwood on NPR’s “On Point,” Hillary Clinton admitted that she might expect more than she should from her relationships with members of the media.
Clinton’s comments were made in response to criticism by Jill Abramson in a POLITICO Magazine piece in which the former New York Times editor said, “Hillary is incredibly unrealistic about journalists…She expects you to be 100 percent in her corner, especially women journalists. She got angry with me because when I became the top-ranking woman at the New York Times, she thought I should be loyal.
